When does Milan Fashion Week take place?

Milan Fashion Week is a bi-annual fashion showcase taking place in Milan in Italy: in January and February, the fall/winter collections are presented, and between September and October, the spring/summer ones are.

This year, the best of Italian womenswear design will be presented from February 21st to February 27th, 2023. During the Fashion Week Women, Milan will transform into the unconditional queen of the world fashion to host the fashion shows of the most prestigious Maisons and emerging talents.

Where does Milan Fashion Week take place?

Three are the main venues of Milan Fashion Week:

• Spazio Cavallerizze (inside the Leonardo Da Vinci Science and Technology Museum)
• Palazzo Reale’s Sala delle Cariatidi
• Padiglione Visconti (inside the Scala Ansaldo Workshop)

But Fashion Week in Milan is more than just a venue, it is a magical atmosphere that invades the whole city, especially in certain symbolic places. So if you are coming to Milan during those days, you must take a stroll in Quadrilatero della Moda (the Fashion Quadrilateral), a high-class shopping district in the center of the city, where you will find numerous boutiques that represent most of the world's major fashion houses. And nearby Quadrilatero della Moda, you will have the opportunity to see some of Milan’s most important cultural and architectural gems, such as Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Milan Duomo Cathedral and the Teatro alla Scala. If you are a fashion and design lover, two must-see are the Armani Silos, the museum of Giorgio Armani, and the ADI Design Museum, that promotes the quality of Made in Italy design in the whole world.

How to attend Milan Fashion Week shows

Milan Fashion Week calendar lists about 70 shows. These, however, are private events, so unless you have a private invitation, it will be impossible to get in.

However, fashion lovers still have the opportunity to attend these events in different ways: on Camera della Moda’s website, where all of them will be streamed, or in live streaming, both on a maxi screen in Piazza San Babila, in the heart of the Milanese Fashion District and or on a LedWall positioned on the Duomo, in Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
